this music reminds me a lot of jazz refreshed, broken beat and the ladbroke grove/ notting hill area. it’s like a cross between this kinda classy red-wine jazz and the gritty drive of uk bass, like dnb dubstep and especially garage. it sounds a lot like the spacey kinda esoteric atmosphere in my head when i visited notting hill as an 8 year old who grew up in chiswick and hammersmith. jrf incidentally started that same year of 2003
rockers’ round window off spaven’s 5ive and those hanging drumless synth chords and the speech by rockers at the end is the peak of this vibe for me :))
Such a vibe. Needed another middle eastern psych vibe band to vary from Altin Gun. Bassist kinda reminds me to Candeleros bassist, psych latin band based in Madrid. If you read this far, check out my band Empanadas Ilegales, psych cumbia and salsa band lol
